Now open in the Pocono Mountains, this authentically-African themed resort has all of the amenities you could want for your family vacation. An upscale resort, Kalahari is Pennsylvania's largest indoor water park. We all had a blast on their amazing water slides, which ranged from kiddie all the way to crazy! We loved every single one. We loved going down the mini slides together.
We also had an amazing time on the Anaconda (a water coaster better than any we've ever ridden) and the Wild Wildebeest. My boys were brave enough to try the Tanzanian Twister (I was not!). This thrill ride slides you into a whirling vortex of watery fun and then sends you down to a free-fall exit a big splash at the end! The water park is full of fun, varied rides that everyone enjoyed.
After a day at the water park, we couldn't wait to check out the family entertainment center, complete with a state of the art arcade, mini-bowling, laser game, and black light mini-golf. My kids were in heaven. Kalahari has it all!

One of my favorite parts of the trip was relaxing with the family while we ate at different restaurants on site. We loved exploring the hotel, watching the fountains, posing with the authentic statues and paintings throughout the hotel. It was great to relax and talk together about our amazing day.
My husband and I love taking our boys on new adventures. Kalahari Poconos was definitely a family favorite! It had the feel of an exotic pricey vacation, but it was both affordable and close to home. A must for our family. It was perfect!
