Brides- and grooms-to-be in and around New York City are invited to attend The Big Fake Wedding New York City. The event will be held on Monday October 24, 2016 at 7pm at Houston Hall. The Big Fake Wedding is a bridal show alternative in the form of a big, fake wedding. “Wedding guests” are brides- and grooms-to-be who enjoy an emotional vow renewal ceremony, a tasty cocktail-style dinner, and a dance-party reception while truly experiencing the wedding vendors in action.

Credited for “changing the way future brides and grooms prepare to celebrate happily ever after” by The TODAY Show, The Big Fake Wedding has proved to be an innovative alternative to a trade-show style wedding expo. Local married couple Mandy and Justin Lacy will use the event to renew their wedding vows. Those attending will experience a perfectly planned “wedding” and have the opportunity to meet the vendors behind the scene. The evening will include an emotional “wedding” ceremony encouraging strong marriages, a delectable catered cocktail-style dinner, and a reception full of wine from Hall Napa Valley, dancing and dessert. The event will showcase local wedding vendors such as Pineapple Street Designs, Skylar Arden Events & Design and Scratch Weddings.

While The Big Fake Wedding is in the business of creating fake weddings, they continue to work towards their very real goals of promoting small businesses, inspiring brides and grooms, and encouraging solid marriages. Tickets for this event are $25.00 and can be purchased online on The Big Fake Wedding’s Event Page. They include a cocktail-style dinner, wine, dancing and a swag bag. Media is invited to attend and may contact Johna for first come-first serve complimentary media tickets.

The Big Fake Wedding (formerly known as The NotWedding) was launched in Atlanta, GA by photographer Callie Murray in 2008 and has since grown into various markets nationwide. For more information on The Big Fake Wedding, please visit www.thebigfakewedding.com
