The Ride reminds me of a luxury limo/bus, made even better with stadium seating, and an entire wall and ceiling made of glass. My kids were excited as soon as we got on, as they sat high up with a view of one of their favorite things about the city. The people! The perspective from your seat is like no other.
The tour starts out in the heart of the city, right on 42nd Street. As soon as you get on, you are entertained by two tour guides (aka comedians) as they include everyone in their funny banter throughout The Ride. The technology on The Ride is awesome too... there are big and small screens inside the bus which definitely add to and enhance the trip.
You will have a chance to see the expected (Grand Central Terminal, The Flatiron Building, Central Park, the Empire State Building, and more), the unexpected (a man dancing on his way to work, a ballerina in Columbus Circle), and many more surprises along the way. It was always exciting when pedestrians stopped to wave to us and people noticed us as they were driving by.
The trip flew by, as we sang, waved, and sometimes danced along to the real life 'show.' We had so much fun that we didn't want it to end! The Ride is a great activity to do with your family or friends. Definitely a unique way to see the city. There is nothing else like it!
