A Review: The 3rd NYC NotWedding!

By Kristin Mateiko October 18, 2014

I had the opportunity to attend the third NotWedding NYC, and what an amazing event it was! It took place at The Green Building in Brooklyn which seemed to be the perfect location.  The NotWedding is a great way to explore different venues for all the important details a wedding entails. Not only was it an informative experience but it was a fun night as well!

I was able to walk through “The Tunnel of Love” which was beautifully decorated. While walking through “The Tunnel of Love”, I was able to meet so many friendly people who showed me many great examples of what their wedding service has to offer.  I was introduced to different event planners, including Dee Kay Events and Color POP Events. I was able to taste great food made by Ryan Brown Catering New York and speak with the company directly. After walking through “The Tunnel of Love”, I then made my way outside.

The outdoor area was another beautiful sight. As I stepped outside on the beautiful evening, I saw a sitting area set up that was cozy and elegant all at the same time.  There was a wonderful band playing outside as well.  The most popular section of the outdoor area was the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck.  The truck was offering samples of different flavor ice cream which everyone seemed to truly enjoy.  I think the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream truck would be such a fun addition to any party!

Not only was this an event to give people lots of ideas for their upcoming weddings, but it was a fun night out to meet new people, taste great food, and listen to great music.  I would recommend the NotWedding to anyone who is getting married and needs some great ideas, but also to anyone who is looking for a fun night out.
