Macaroni Kid Review: Creativity for Kids!

The Big Creativity Can and Rhinestone Headbands

By Michele Iallonardi, Editor/Publisher, Hauppauge-Smithtown Macaroni Kid November 21, 2014
Hauppauge-Smithtown Macaroni Kid recently hosted our first Holiday 'Toy Testing' Party. Parents and kids alike had a great time checking out the best new toys for the 2014 holiday season.  Creativity for Kids provided The Big Creativity Can and Rhinestone Headbands for our toy testers to try out.  Both were a huge hit and will be on many wishlists this year!

The Big Creativity Can kept the kids entertained for hours!  Everyone was excited to see what fun materials were hidden inside.  The can was filled with a wide variety of craft materials, including
air-dry clay, googly eyes, feathers, pipe cleaners, felt, pom poms, colored popsicle sticks, fancy paper, scissors and more! It was wonderful to see the kids' imaginations at work. They helped and praised each other as they went to work making robots, insects, aliens, animals, and more.  Boys and girls ranging from age 3 all the way to 12 worked together at the table, sharing materials and conversation.  It was a great ice breaker and lots of fun.  This is a perfect activity for a group of friends, a family activity, or a rainy day alone.  At only $19.99, The Big Creativity Can is a great gift for any kid on your list!

Creativity for Kids also provided the Rhinestone Headband kit.  With ribbon and colored rhinestones, we made 10 beautiful headbands at the party!  The kids (and moms!) loved designing their own headbands and modeling them that night. Everyone loved being creative!  A great idea for a sleepover, a girl scout project, in the classroom, or just for fun, the Rhinestone Headbands were a hit.  Also just $19.99, this is a great affordable activity for 10 kids. Awesome!
