A bridal show alternative in the form of a big, fake wedding
Tickets are now on sale: The Big Fake Wedding NYC event page.

The Big Fake Wedding will return to New York City in 2015. This exciting event will be held at 26 Bridge in Brooklyn on Wednesday, February 25th. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the ceremony will begin at 7:00pm. The Big Fake Wedding is a bridal show alternative in the form of a big, fake wedding. “Wedding guests” are brides- and groomsto-be who enjoy an emotional vow renewal ceremony, a tasty dinner and a dance-party reception while truly experiencing the wedding vendors in action.

Those attending will experience a perfectly planned “wedding” and have the opportunity to meet the vendors behind the production. The couple featured throughout the event is actually a married couple from New York City who will be using the event to renew their wedding vows.

Tickets include an emotional (fake) wedding ceremony, a delectable cocktail-style dinner, and a reception full of sparkling wine, dancing and dessert as well as an attendee swag bag. The Big Fake Wedding also boasts a hand full of surprises planned for guests throughout the evening.

Callie Murray, owner of The Big Fake Wedding, believes her company offers a revolutionary twist to the traditional bridal show: “The Big Fake Wedding allows brides- and grooms-to-be to get a feel for how wedding vendors would actually perform on their wedding day, and wedding vendors love being able to truly show off what they do and how they work under the normal pressures of a wedding day.”

BRIDES Magazine, the number-one bridal brand, is the presenting sponsor for the event: "The Big Fake Wedding is beautifully on-brand for BRIDES and provides endless inspiration for turning a dream wedding into reality."

“Undoubtedly, this event single-handedly launched my brand to where it is today,” says Amy Osaba, whose floral company provided floral design at past events.

While The Big Fake Wedding is in the business of creating fake weddings, they continue to work towards their very real goals of promoting small businesses, inspiring brides and grooms, and encouraging solid marriages.

The Big Fake Wedding (formerly known as The NotWedding) was launched in Atlanta, GA in 2008 and has since grown into various markets nationwide.
