Social Skills For Children- Groups Now Forming in Smithtown

Providing Social Skills Training for school aged children (5-17) with autism and related disorders

Social Skills for Children utilizes the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach social skills to children with autism and related disorders. ABA is a research based, practical approach that uses the principle of behavior to teach new skills in an effort to change behavior in a systematic and measurable way. Target behaviors are identified for each child, data is collected and student progress is measured to ensure effective outcomes. 

All staff are New York State Licensed Behavior Analysts.  A
ctivities are developed to enhance team building, social communication and conflict resolution skills. Children will acquire self confidence through learning how to initiate, maintain, and terminate play interactions. Video modeling is often utilized to enhance skill development.

Located on Terry Road, in Smithtown, sessions will run throughout March, April, May, June, July and August 2015. 

Group Rate: $280.00 per 6 week session, per child (45 minute sessions)
Dyad Rate: $300.00 per 6 week session, per child (45 minute sessions)
Individual Rage: $65.00 per session (45 minute sessions)

Reimbursement for services may be provided by some insurance companies.  Call for further details.

*All new members must be interviewed before placement in a program*
