Monster Jam Trucks Wreak Havoc and Mayhem at Nassau Coliseum!
We just got back from Monster Jam-- what a great show! Last year was our first Monster Jam experience and we couldn't wait to go back. We grabbed our headphones and headed to the Nassau Coliseum. We started out with the Pit Party-- always amazing to see just how big these trucks really are. The tires are bigger than my boys!
After checking out the cars, bikes, and motorcycles, we grabbed some food and went to our seats. Every seat is a good one for Monster Jam! You can see the trucks no matter where you are. The Coliseum was full and you could feel the excitement and anticipation everywhere.
There were so many unique trucks this year, we all had a favorite. We loved watching the trucks drive over the piles of cars, do jumps, spins, and race against each other. The motorcycle stunts were insanely amazing! We seriously could not believe what we were seeing. The motorcycle drivers were flipping and flying through the air! Everyone was in awe.
On a personal note, my oldest son has autism, and sometimes loud sounds are difficult for him. He has never been to Monster Jam before, because we were concerned that the noise might be too much for him. This year, we decided to try it. He had a blast! We brought headphones for him which worked perfectly. He was so happy and we all had a really great time.

The events will feature some of the most popular Monster Jam trucks in the circuit, including Grave Digger®, El Toro Loco® andMohawk Warrior℠, along with the newly created Dragon and Be Aware. The Party in the Pits gives fans the opportunity to get autographs, view the massive Monster Jam trucks up close and meet the drivers.
Standing at 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, Monster Jam trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, Monster Jam trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster Jam trucks can fly up to 130 feet (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 35 feet in the air. Monster Jam® shows consist of three main fan-favorite elements – the pit party, racing and freestyle. The pit party gives all fans a chance to meet the stars of Monster Jam up-close while taking pictures and getting autographs.
