I always knew that I'd be a mom. I grew up with the best role model, your grandma, a fierce mama bear that loved, cared for, and protected me every day. I knew the kind of mom I wanted to be.
On the day you were born, I was born too. Your arrival was complicated and beautiful. A perfect metaphor for life.
Being a mom is so many things. It is easy, hard, fun, scary, silly, happy, sad, crazy, and amazing! It is so much more complicated than I ever thought about. Sometimes the love and pride that I feel for you is overwhelming. Who knew that feeling so happy could make me cry? Sometimes being a mom is like that. You make my heart so full that it feels like it will burst.
Thank you for teaching me what really matters in life. Thank you for showing me that everyone has their own path, and no matter how many bumps in the road, life is still beautiful. Without words, you show me each day what it means to love unconditionally, and that family is the most important thing.
You taught me that it is okay to feed three babies from the same spoon and that I could change diapers with one hand. You taught me to trust my instincts. You taught me that no matter what I was juggling at home it was important not to lose myself in the process.
My three boys, because of you I learned that no matter how old I am I can still go on the craziest roller coasters out there! You have taught me to have fun and let go and just be me. Because of you I have learned to take care of myself so that I can be here for you as long as possible. You have taught me to love myself as much as I love you.
Thank you for inspiring me. I know that you are always watching. Your faith in me impacts every decision I make. I promise to do whatever I can to make this world a better place for you every single day.
Thank you for making me a mother, a mommy, a mama, a mom. It is the best job I have ever had.
I love you!!
Love always, always, always,
Mom
