Winter Break Programs

Sweetbriar Nature Center is situated on 54 acres of varied garden, woodland, field, and wetland habitats on the Nissequogue River. Hundreds of species of plants and animals make homes here. They have a variety of programs and some are virtual. Upcoming in February they will be offering daily natural science programs for elementary school children.

MON, FEB 15 THRU FRI, FEB 19 9 AM-1 PM

Once again Sweetbriar Nature Center will be offering daily natural science programs over the school breaks for elementary school children.   Each day will be a different natural science theme.  Each day is chock-filled with fun hands-on activities, interaction with our residents, non-releasable wildlife, crafts, games, and much more.   Parents can register their child/children for one day, two days, three days, four days, or the entire week.   To comply with covid-19 safety protocols, most of the programming will take place down at the Red Barn and outdoors. Masks will be required.

Wednesday: Bundling up for Winter

Thursday: Who’s in Charlottes Web?

Friday:  Rainforest Ramble


When: February 15-19th, 9am to 1pm daily, aftercare may be available until 4pm for an additional charge

Who: Children ages 5 to 11

How Much: $70/day for members, $300/week for members,  $80/day, $350/week for non-members
